1965 Mustang GT Fastback Imported from Ohio 3 years ago, fully registered in UK, MOT’d upon arrival to the UK and serviced regularly. 5L-V8 (302 ci) engine (upgraded from 289 ci), 3-speed auto, extremely tidy, cruises at 80mph, maintains good temperature and starts on the button. Original steering and drum brakes, drives like it was intended (not disc brakes and not power steering - this is a classic car !!), but stops well and drives superb. Restored approximately 10-15 years ago in the USA, new engine, new dual-flow exhaust, new springs, new fuel tank, new wheels and tyres. New floor pans put in upon importation along with new brake cyclinders, all documented. This is a useable classic and show car, with good paint, lovely interior (no rips, tears or holes), but it is not concours. It has a few minor blemishes here and there but shows extremely well. Has been used in adverts, promo campaigns, music videos etc. It sounds lovely, it pulls and stops well, it doesn’t smoke, it handles really well too but is an authentic classic, not a resto-mod. A lovely example, that is reliable, drives well, shows extremely well, lovely interior and chrome and turns heads wherever it goes. Maintained by Ric Wood, who restores engines for “CAR SOS”.
