Rolls Royce, 1939 Wraith B, Olde English White
A fortunate survivor of WW2.
 
Ordered by and delivered in August 1939 to a Mr. J Brock of Plymouth who owned and operated Milbank Rinkeries (ice rinks) in Plymouth.
 
Upon the outbreak of hostilities with Germany in September 1939 petrol became rationed (known as “pool petrol” and not of particularly good quality), Mr. Brock therefore did not use the Rolls very much periodically leaving the car in a garage at the ice rink.
 
One evening in September 1941 Mr. Brock decided to take the car home from her storage at the rink, upon returning the following morning he discovered an overnight German air-raid had resulted in a direct hit on the rink which also destroyed the garage where the Rolls would have been stored.
 
This limousine has occasional seats taking the capacity to six if required, she benefits from a light, airy and very capacious interior correctly trimmed in a light beige West of England cloth complete with walnut furniture cappings and central drinks cabinet.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish! No problems booking the car, very helpful staff to help pick the right car for my needs etc and then when our venue cancelled the wedding 4 days before our wedding day, explained the situation and they completely understood and did everything to make sure the car would be available once we had sorted the new venue. They kept in touch taking the extra worry off of me remembering to call them while sorting all the other wedding stuff out. On the day the driver even arrived earlier than planned and even though the bride was running late, the driver was a perfect gentleman to the brides party and they really enjoyed the drive, if you are looking for a professional company for your wedding day I can highly recommend this company, absolute perfect service and you don't see that often anymore! A massive thank you to all the team involved to make my surprise to my wife go off without a hitch and making her day that little bit more special.
